Scott's Place, Back 40
Scott's Place; The View Toward Heron Pond at Three Rivers Game Management Area; near sunset, tonight. Photo by Mary Stebbins
The color that I've seen is mostly rather muddy. Except for the red maple in the backyard which is spectacularly red. I'm afraid the fall color this year will be a bust (or was a bust?).
Yesterday I was looking out the study window and leaves, yellow leaves, were raining down and twirling down. It was very pretty but it distrubs me because I feel as if we haven't really had fall. I have seen some pretty colors, but they haven't been widespread.
It's dark and rainy today.
Hope you get some color before the leaves all disappear.

When I look at this I expect to see a covered wagon coming along soon...
Just the sort of thing I like, of course. :)
Glad you like it! (I like it too)
do you know where it is, there, off sixty road? Nice place to walk in the fall! (though it was buggy that day--have you had a frost yet?)
It's been in the 30s the last couple nights, but I don't think we've had a frost.
I do, more or less, know where the photo was taken, but with all the rain we've been having, I've not been doing any walking any where.
You got color there yet--I mean much color, or is the rain tearing all the leaves from the trees?
