A Fly in the Ointment

I just took the hard copies of my Fellowship application to the Post Office to mail.  I called earlier to ask what time the closed and gentleman said 6:30, but that they had a mailing machine in the lobby for letters and packages 24 hours a day.  I asked if it put on postmarks and he said yes.

So I went at 9:00 PM and sure enough, there was a machine and I paid for postage with my credit card and put it on the package, but when I went to mail the package, it said any package over 13 ounces had to be presented in PERSON to a postal clerk--and I had to mail it TONIGHT--no postal clerks.

I didn't know what to do, so I mailed it anyway.

I hope it doesn't come back or all that work may be for NAUGHT!

(And it was an absurd amount of work.)

And I still have to finish the online part.  :-(

I'd be a lot happier right now if that postal clerk had mentioned the 13 ounces when I called for info.

Oh, I hope it goes through! I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Oh, thank you, thank you!

Hope hope, so much work went into it, and I'm not done yet, still working on the online part.

I bet you were jumping Mary! I am sure it will get there, sometimes they ask the recipient to pay the extra postage.
