Without my story, what would I be?

"Without my story, I would be a breath of breeze on a still lake, the faintest ripple, the reflection of wings passing, the great dome of blue, filling with mist. I would be emptier than a vacuum tube which sucks into itself the story of the world. I would be nothing, inside out."

Oh, I can't believe I didn't see this until now! Mary, this is something to be printed out and framed. It's just that damn good.

I could work my entire life and not express this so beautifully.

WOW! Thank you all for you sweet kindness. I've been away at a writing retreat and have just come home and am swamped with catch-up.
