IMBOLC and the taking down of the greens
People around here look at me strangely when I say that we take the greens down on Groundhogs' day. It's the end of the holiday season in some traditions. So that's what I'm doing, removing, strand my strand, the chains of jewels and baubles from the tree. Happy Imbolc. And by the way, our groundhog saw his shadow, so there'll be six more weeks of winter. Too bad. I was hoping, except for the polar bears and penguins and arctic foxes and ptarmigans, that the late winter would be as mild as the early winter was.
