Yummy Egg Rolls
Supper tonight was so good I have to mention it. I know that what I ate fascinates you, right? We made egg rolls. Biker Buddy helped. We grated red and green cabbage, a small carrot, slivered a piece of yellow squash, mushrooms, he put bean sprouts in his (I'm allergic). Chinese 5 spice powder and cayenne pepper, salt and pepper (he had soy sauce, I'm allergic to it). Use protein of your choice, tofu, beans, chicken, pork, beef, shrimp, etc (or none). Cook everything, then wrap 2 T in egg-roll wrappers and fry. SO SO SO good. I thought I should probably take some pictures but they were too good to stop eating and take pictures. (OH and I make a yummy sauce for it, but I didn't make it today because of my diet--just take jelly or jam (I used apricot, but another kind would also work), add water or fruit juice, and cut up fresh or dried fruit (I used apricots last time) and cook 'til thickened. Serve ladled over egg rolls--mmmm!)

it must have been a Chinese food kind of night, we love home made egg rolls and crab rangoons too. I've never made that kind of sauce for them though, I'll try it next time.
The sauce is sort of like duck sauce, but quick and easy and yummy.
I've never made crab rangoons. I make eggrollls only once in a while, though we've had them twice in two weeks.
Crab rangoon is my favorite food. I also make a crab dip that I love, but I never make it the same way two times in a row. The big variable for me is in how much worchestershire sauce to stick in, or whether not to at all. All it basically is is crabmeat, creamcheese and lots of minced garlic, shot of lemon, and some parsley. Lots of parsley, if it's fresh and available. Or chopped basil, if fresh. I don't cook much, though, no time to anymore.
Sounds good, but I'm allergic to cream cheese!
ORIENTAL COOKING IS SO GOOD BUT NEVER FILLS ME UP THE WAY EGGS AND BACON AND TOAST AND A BOWL OF THICK HOT SOUP--------YUMSEY
IF CREAM CHEESE IS BAD IS ALL DAIRY THAT WAY OR CAN YOU HAVE SOMETHING LIKE YOGURT OR CUSTARD OR LIKE THAT
I'll stick with my cheeseburgers.
Cheeseburgers are good, but I am allergic to ALL dairy, cheese, yogurt, custard, pizza, icecream. Also all soy, so no substitutes, either.
