Janathon Day 8 and art

Tiger Swallowtail
by Mary Stebbins Taitt
colored pencil and ink on 5.5 inch card
I made this card yesterday for my friend Adele.  We were discussing the cards I used to make in 1980, and I tried to make one, but I couldn't leave it alone and added ink to it.  The colored pencil looked so pale.

Auryn ink on iPad
I got a new iPad app for 99 cents, Auryn Ink, but it is such a struggle that I probably won't use it much.

Me with my grandson Frankie
last June
Frankie won't let me hold him anymore.  :-(  He has stranger anxiety and since I live 400 miles away, I'm a stranger to him.

Janathon:  I walked 45 minutes yesterday.  It was not a particularly fun walk.  :-(  But anyway, I did it.

I love the energies your images have captured Mary, so vibrant. Pity about Frankie but at least you know why, I am sure you´ll persevere with Grandmotherly love and patience.

Thanks, John! :-D

Of course I will keep loving him. I really do wish we lived closer though.

I'm sure it's little comfort when you'd just like to see him more, but living closer wouldn't mean Frankie would let you hold him. He doesn't tolerate it from the in-town grandparents either or anyone else for that matter, aside from me or his father, on occasion. Mostly he's just too busy for hugs nowadays.

I definitely would like to see him MUCH MIRE!!! I do wish I lived closer. Much closer! :-(

I just want to SEE HIM MORE!

BUT I am reassured a LITTLE that he's not eager to be held by anyone--NOT THAT I WISH THAT ON ANYONE (on any of the grandparents.aunts etc).

It's going to be a long spell before I get there again, because of winter.

You were like that when you were his age, too!!!!
